On Trustpilot, most people had nothing but positive things to say about Bitcoin.com. There, it has over 75% five-star ratings out of nearly 4,000 reviews.

In other online communities, opinions were far more mixed.

Before its rebrand, Bitcoin.com was headed by Roger Ver, a controversial figure in the crypto space. Under his leadership, Bitcoin.com was involved in many controversies that severely damaged its reputation.

Because of this, users on Reddit were far more cautious about the platform. One user called it a terrible website with a reputation for overcharging and providing bad experiences.

After using Bitcoin.com over the last few weeks, I can tell you with confidence that the hype is justified.

The Upsides

The user experience is seamless, and its integration of online payment services to facilitate crypto purchases via fiat is incredible. It eliminates the need for on- and off-ramping, saving you time and energy so you can focus on trading and earning.

The educational content on Bitcoin.com is of the highest quality. The platform provides resources on everything Bitcoin, including some of Satoshi’s old emails. This allows users to gain crypto knowledge simply and effectively.

The Downsides

However, where Bitcoin.com falls short is its lack of investment opportunities and referral programs. These are common on popular crypto platforms, but nowhere to be found on this one.

The only way to earn passive income on the platform is to provide liquidity to its decentralized liquidity pools in exchange for rewards. This can get you yields as high as 1.97%.

I also found it limited as a cryptocurrency exchange platform. The spot trading, futures trading, and other crypto derivatives you usually find on crypto exchanges are not available on Bitcoin.com. Instead, the platform’s services are limited to buying, selling, and swapping crypto.

Signing Up with Bitcoin.com

Signing up on Bitcoin.com took me less than five minutes.

After downloading the app on my phone, I was able to create an account in literally seconds, thanks to the email authentication feature. One click of the button and I was in the app, ready to start making crypto transactions.

I can say that Bitcoin.com has one of the fastest sign-up flows I’ve experienced on a crypto platform. As long as you have an email address saved on your phone, the process should take no more than a minute to complete.

There’s no need for KYC or any other self-verification programs, which really speeds up the process.

If you don’t have an email set up on your device, the signup will take a bit longer. Still, you’ll only have to enter your email address on the form and follow the on-screen instructions to finish creating your account.

Bitcoin.com Dashboard

Bitcoin.com has earned praise for its seamless design and beautiful interface.I can vouch for this as well. The dashboard features a warm interface with perfectly placed buttons for easy navigation and quick findability.

There are buttons for each of Bitcoin.com’s core services, such as Send, Receive, Swap, Buy, and Sell. There was also a button to earn crypto and another to explore the Verse ecosystem, although that one is still in beta mode.

Verse is Bitcoin.com’s native cryptocurrency. Users can access a suite of newer functionalities within the Verse ecosystem, such as swapping, staking, liquidity mining, and farming.

At the bottom of the screen, there is a navigation bar with easily understandable buttons that lead to other relevant screens.

All in all, the user experience on the platform is simply top-notch.

Deposits and Withdrawals on Bitcoin.com

There aren’t many crypto platforms that allow users to buy crypto with fiat. But Bitcoin.com provides several options for doing so.

Deposits

Bitcoin.com supports crypto purchases with fiat currency using credit card, debit card, or bank transfer.

This eliminates the need for on-ramping. By integrating online payment services like MoonPay, Bitcoin.com allows users to simply pay from their bank accounts and have crypto deposited directly into their Bitcoin.com wallets.

The process was fast for me. I just clicked on Funds at the bottom, chose to buy crypto, and linked MoonPay. Just like that, I had bought $500 worth of BTC and the transfer was completed within minutes.

Withdrawals

Withdrawals on Bitcoin.com are sent directly to your crypto wallet or bank account.

I liked having the option to choose between the two, which further contributes to the platform’s stellar user experience.

Withdrawing my funds was easy. I just navigated to my BTC wallet and clicked Send. Then, I entered the wallet where I wanted to send my funds, and the transaction was completed instantly.

Trading Conditions on Bitcoin.com

One great feature of Bitcoin.com is that it doesn’t charge fees for sending or receiving cryptocurrency. All you pay are network or gas fees that go to the miners/validators on the network.

Additionally, Bitcoin.com allows you to customize the fees you pay on its platform, no matter the network you’re using. While this results in lower trading fees, it also means longer validation or confirmation times, as your transaction will process more slowly than usual.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find any tools on Bitcoin.com that could significantly improve the lives of traders.

The platform does, however, have an extensive library of resources on Bitcoin, and also features a blockchain explorer.

Investing Opportunities with Bitcoin.com

There are several ways to earn on Bitcoin.com, such as liquidity mining, staking, and farming.

Liquidity mining allows users to generate yields as high as 1.97% by depositing their tokens into liquidity pools.

Staking and farming, however, are features native to the Verse ecosystem. Both options allow users to earn rewards, discounts, and other perks by providing their Verse tokens to the Verse ecosystem.

There is currently no affiliate program on Bitcoin.com. The platform launched an affiliate program for its store back in 2016 but has since shut it down.
