BitMart splits opinion. This BitMart review starts where most user feedback lands: the interface is easy to pick up and the coin list is huge, which suits a first-time buyer and someone running spot and futures side by side. Praise for those two things is consistent across app stores and forums. The complaints are consistent too, and they cluster around support and security rather than the trading engine itself.
Support is the first sore point. Users report slow replies when something goes wrong with a withdrawal or a locked account, and a ticket can sit for hours. Security is the second. Cold storage, withdrawal whitelists and two-factor login are all in place. The exchange still has a breach in its past, and traders bring it up before funding an account.
So the picture is mixed rather than bad. The trading environment is solid. The service around it is where BitMart still has ground to make up, and that gap is what the rest of this page measures.
At press time BitMart sits 29th on the CoinMarketCap exchange list. Rank aside, few brokers of that size cover spot, derivatives and copy trading inside one account. BitMart Earn sits on top of that for anyone who wants idle coins to pay something back.
That is only the surface. This review walks through the whole account: fees by pair class, the Earn products, how fast sign-up really is and where the limits start to bite.
This crypto broker has been around since 2017, offering over 1500+ crypto pairs and over 100 perpetual contracts for advanced traders.
By the end you should know whether the exchange fits the way you trade, or whether the 2021 hack is a deal breaker for you.
Founded: 2017, headquarters in the Cayman Islands, offices in South Korea and the United States.
Regulation: registered as a Money Services Business in the U.S., plus crypto licensing in Lithuania.
Minimum deposit: $1 or the equivalent.

bitmart-review.webp
Trading fees: 0% to 0.4% maker and taker, depending on the pair class.
Assets: more than 1500 crypto pairs and over 100 perpetual contracts.
Leverage: up to 100x on derivatives.
Deposit and withdrawal methods: crypto only. Cards, bank transfer, Apple Pay and Google Pay are for buying coins inside the platform.
Withdrawal limits: 0.06 BTC a day on a Starter account, up to 100 BTC after advanced verification.
Withdrawal speed: not stated in the source, check on the broker site.
Support: live chat, help centre and tickets with a 3 to 10 hour reply window.
Availability: blocked in Sudan, Libya, Japan, Iran, Iraq and a few other countries.
Short on time? The two lists below are the review in miniature. Read the cons first. They matter more than any feature count.
Pros
One of the largest selections of cryptocurrencies
Low trading fees for derivatives
Boasts advanced trading tools like copy-trading
Offers crypto savings and staking services
Spread over 180+ nations
Boasts an NFT marketplace

bitmart-pros-and-cons.png
A native token with several use cases
Cons
Has been breached before, raising security concerns
Mixed customer feedback across platforms
BitMart’s native investment token, BMX, is built on the Ethereum mainnet and adheres to the ERC-20 token standards.

bitmart-review-1.png
Founded in 2017, BitMart has its headquarters in the Cayman Islands. This crypto broker also has physical offices in South Korea and the United States. Leading the product was Sheldon Xia, who was (is) also the acting CEO of the firm.
On the regulatory side BitMart is one of the few crypto brokers registered as a Money Services Business in the U.S. The team behind it comes from Alibaba, Tencent, Accenture and similar places. That hiring record says more about the product side than about how client funds are protected.
BitMart’s official Twitter (X) handle announced that the company has acquired relevant crypto-specific licensure in Lithuania.
Sign-up is quick. Click the Get Started tab, then register with an email address or a phone number. No documents are needed at this stage, and the whole thing takes a couple of minutes on a normal connection.

bitmart-the-sign-up-process.png
That first level already unlocks most of the exchange. Standard deposits and withdrawals, spot trading and the NFT marketplace all work with basic personal details and nothing else.

bitmart-verification.png
Level 2 verification opens margin trading, Earn plans and Launchpad. It is a KYC step. You start it on the desktop, scan a QR code, and finish on your phone. Nothing about the flow is confusing.

bitmart-welcome-rewards-768x885.webp
Accepted documents include a PAN card, a driver's licence, a passport or any government-issued ID. Facial verification through the computer camera belongs to the same step, so have decent light before you begin.
Rewards land after verification. Deposits, futures trades and a handful of other actions each carry their own bonus. Open the rewards hub before your first trade rather than after, because some of them only count from the moment you claim them.

bitmart-signup.png
User experience decides more here than the feature list. BitMart is not the biggest name in crypto, and it compensates with plain labels and short paths. Most screens explain themselves. That matters on the day you need to move funds fast and have no patience for a manual.

bitmart-deposit-method.png
The web terminal keeps spot, futures and Earn in clearly separated sections. The mobile apps deserve a try even if your main account lives on desktop. Charts are better optimised there and the interface reacts faster.

bitmart-web-interface-473x1024.webp
Support also runs through social channels. BitMart is active on Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, LinkedIn and YouTube. That is a wide spread for an exchange of this size, and it gives you a second route when the ticket queue is slow.
English is not the only option. The interface ships in nine other languages, which covers most of the regions where the exchange actually operates.

bitmart-s-user-experience-391x1024.webp
The three platforms are not identical. Here is what each one gives you before you decide where the main account should live.

bitmart-ios-features.png
Quick performance improvements
An interactive spot trading interface
Easy access to P2P trading features
Access to real-time market insights
Advanced security measures like two-factor authentication and more

bitmart-android-features.png
Easy access to order management tools
Quick view of the welcome bonus
Beginner-friendly interface
Quick access to copy trading strategies
Access to sub-accounts with better risk management traits
Access to margin trading facilities
Better fee rebates and discounts
Pick the platform by what you actually use. Sub-accounts and margin live on the web. Copy trading and quick order checks are easier on the phone.
BitMart sits between a beginner exchange and a professional terminal. Here is what the account actually contains once you are past verification.
Regular buyers get a simple Buying interface. Payment methods include credit and debit cards, bank transfers, Google Pay and Apple Pay. USD and EUR are the main fiat currencies here. GBP, ALL, AMD, ANG and a long tail of others are supported as well, which is unusual at this size.

bitmart-quick-buy-sell-interface.png
To facilitate quick buying and selling, BitMart works with a host of third-party payment services like Simplex, Legend Trading, MoonPay, Banxa, and Alchemy Pay.
Spot trading uses an order book layout with interactive charts and margin support. Market, limit and advanced limit orders are all there. Nothing is unusual, and that is the point: a trader arriving from another exchange will not need a tutorial.

bitmart-diverse-trading-suite.png
Advanced traders get derivatives settled in USDC or in the coin being traded. Leverage runs up to 100x across more than 100 contracts. Treat that ceiling as a warning rather than an offer.

bitmart-margin-mode.png
Copy trading is the shortcut for anyone who does not want to read charts. The interface mirrors the live positions of selected traders, and you filter them by ROI, profit and loss, assets under management and win rate. You can also apply to become a master trader yourself.

bitmart-copy-trading.webp
Also, you can check individual master traders to see their profit sharing percentage, diverse stop loss settings, and other metrics before proceeding.
Idle coins can work instead of sitting still. BitMart Savings pays flexible and fixed APY on assets such as USDT, BTC and ETH. Advertised rates reach 100% on some plans. Rates that high always sit on short promo terms or small caps, so read the plan card before you commit.

bitmart-earn.png
Then, there is the standard BitMart staking plan, where you can lock your assets for a fixed duration to earn interest. Then, there are the “Dual Investment” option and ETH 2.0 staking options, helping you make the most of your crypto holdings.
The NFT marketplace is a genuine part of the product rather than a banner. Open any asset or collection and you see the floor price, provenance and creator details before you buy.
The list does not stop there. BitMart also runs a launchpad for new tokens and NFTs, a voting-based airdrop platform, professional API access, a rewards hub and a fairly detailed learning centre.
Additionally, BitMart offers a pretty extensive view of the crypto markets, listing almost every known crypto. The tokens are also segregated into categories, like DeFi, Metaverse, Meme, and more.

bitmart-nft-marketplace.png
Some of the most popular crypto trading pairs across the spot and derivatives space include:
ETH/USDT
BTC/USDT
BTC/DAI
TRB/USDT
ETH/USD
And more.
Fees decide more than most reviews admit. BitMart splits trading pairs into three classes. Class A charges 0% maker and 0.1% taker. Class B costs 0.25% on both sides. Class C is the expensive tier at 0.4% maker and 0.4% taker. Check which class your pair falls into before you build a strategy around it.

bitmart-fees-and-limits.png
Paying fees in the native BMX token cuts the spot rate further, and the discount applies to Class A, Class B and Class C alike.
Another way to get sizable discounts on BitMart’s trading fees is by increasing the 30-day trading volume and holding BMX tokens.

bitmart-fees.png
Limits work differently for deposits and withdrawals. The deposit floor is $1 or the equivalent. Withdrawals are tiered per coin and per network. BTC on the Bitcoin network starts at 0.002 BTC, while the Lightning route drops the minimum to 0.00001 BTC.
Daily caps depend on verification level. A Starter account tops out at 0.06 BTC a day. Advanced verification lifts the ceiling to 100 BTC.
Deposits and withdrawals are crypto only. Bank transfers, Apple Pay and the other fiat rails work for buying and selling coins inside the platform, not for moving money out of it. Plan the exit route before the entry.

bitmart-deposit-withdrawal-fees.png
Withdrawal fees depend on the token and the network you pick. Crypto deposits are free. Coins with deflationary tokenomics are the exception and can take as much as 2% on the way in.
Security at BitMart has moved in waves. The base is solid enough: advanced encryption protocols and a multi-layer system architecture sit under the exchange.
Wallet security follows the standard playbook. Most funds sit in cold storage and private keys are kept separately. On the user side you get withdrawal whitelists and two-factor authentication, both worth switching on during the first session.
Google Authenticator is supported, and an anti-phishing code can be attached to every email the exchange sends you. It is a small setting that stops the most common attack on retail accounts.
The record is not clean. In 2021 BitMart lost close to $196 million to an attack. The exchange acknowledged it publicly and promised compensation to affected users. If a past breach is a hard no for you, put that fact at the top of your checklist and stop reading here.
There is also an active bug bounty programme, which at least means threats are hunted rather than waited for.

bitmart-security-standards.png
Support is one of the stronger parts of this exchange. It runs around the clock and answers quickly. The help centre covers routine questions well enough. Live chat handles everything else and stays the fastest route to a person.

bitmart-the-state-of-customer-support.png
There is a ticket system for anything that needs detail. The usual reply window is 3 to 10 hours. Attach screenshots and transaction hashes in the first message, because a second round of questions doubles the wait.

bitmart-has-a-ticketing-system.png
Trustpilot reviewers rate the support well. The exchange holds close to four stars there. Even the 2021 hack did not sink that score, which says something about how the compensation was handled.

bitmart-trust-pilot-reviewers.png
Beginners and intermediate traders are the natural fit. Sign-up is short, part of the platform works before full KYC, and the Earn range gives idle coins something to do. Heavy derivatives traders will find the fee schedule fair and the tooling thinner than on the largest exchanges.

who-should-onboard-bitmart.png
BitMart is not available everywhere. Sudan, Libya, Japan, Iran and Iraq sit on the blocked list, along with a few other countries. Check availability for your own country in the broker catalogue before you spend time on registration.
Reviewed and updated in August 2026. Fee classes, withdrawal minimums and the country list change often, so confirm the numbers on the exchange site before you send funds. Keep the working balance small and move long-term holdings to a wallet you control. That advice applies to any exchange, and it applies twice to one that has already been breached.
One last step before you register. Open our list of brokers and put BitMart next to two or three alternatives that serve your country. Fees, withdrawal routes and the regulator behind the licence are the three lines that decide the comparison.
What does this BitMart review cover?
It covers the parts that cost money or time: trading fees by pair class, deposit and withdrawal limits, the sign-up and KYC flow, the Earn products, security history and support quality. Every figure on this page comes from BitMart itself, so verify anything critical on the exchange before you deposit.
How does BitMart work in 2026?
It is a centralised crypto exchange. You register with an email or phone number, fund the account with crypto, then trade spot pairs, perpetual contracts or copy other traders. Card and bank payments buy coins inside the platform. Money leaves the account only as crypto, never as a fiat transfer.
Is BitMart safe and regulated?
It is registered as a Money Services Business in the U.S. and holds crypto licensing in Lithuania. Cold storage, withdrawal whitelists, two-factor login and an anti-phishing code are all available. The exchange also lost about $196 million to an attack in 2021, and it repaid affected users after admitting the breach.
What is the minimum deposit on BitMart?
One dollar or the equivalent in crypto. The floor is low enough to test the platform with pocket money. Withdrawals are the tighter side: each coin has its own minimum per network, and a Starter account is capped at 0.06 BTC a day until advanced verification lifts it.
How long does a withdrawal take on BitMart?
The source does not state a processing time, so treat any figure you read elsewhere with caution and check the current one on the exchange. Withdrawals go out in crypto, which means the network you choose matters. Fees vary by token and network, and deflationary coins can cost up to 2%.
